How the studio can help
Support at the right scale.
01
Feasibility & early design
Clarify the brief, understand the site and test options before committing resources to a single direction.
02
Technical design & project support
Develop coordinated drawings, information and decisions for the agreed project stage and jurisdiction.
03
Visualisation & communication
Use drawings, models, images and clear presentation to make spatial ideas understandable and decisions easier.
Working together
A clear, collaborative process.
01 · Understand
Frame the brief.
Listen, test assumptions and gather the information that will shape a useful scope.
02 · Explore
Make options visible.
Use drawings, models and conversation to compare possibilities before committing.
03 · Resolve
Communicate clearly.
Develop the agreed direction into coordinated information for the next project stage.
Design should feel inevitable only after every other possibility has been considered.
The practice
Independent, curious and grounded in context.
Parkinson Design is the independent practice of Lindsay Parkinson, a Built Environment Designer & Technical Consultant trained at the Glasgow School of Art.
The studio brings curiosity, rigour and an eye for atmosphere to work of different scales. The aim is not a house style, but a response that belongs to its setting and serves the people who will use it.
